i am absolutely fucking knackered. i cannot fathom even getting up to go to the bathroom. i am still a bit panicky when my tummy hurts at all but the overall feeling is just fucking exhausted. and the worst part is i can't have caffeine to help me stay awake.

so i'm sleeping on the subway, at the office, in the living room. next thing you know i will fall asleep on the john.

speaking of. no names that mean penises, toilets, or any otherwise bizarre euphemisms.

for the record.

we have so many rules on names now. and you thought i was crazy before...i now have a list of roughly 20 rules (at home) with regards to names.

1. no boys names that are girls names (leslie, kelly, marion) no matter if it was a boys name first.
2. no girls names that sound weak.
3. no sweet sweet names.
4. no boys names with automatic nicknames ending in -y (jimmy, joey, tommy)
5. names must have at least one nickname but the nickname can't sound stupid.
6. no H names
7. no names ending in -a
8. no names ending in -er, -ar, or -or
9. no made up names
10. no names from countries we have nothing to do with (i.e. no cultural appropriation, no naming the kid namaste)
11. no names in the top 50 for 1990-2001
12. no trendy sounding names
13. no names that when the kid is 50, everyone will know they were born at the turn of the century (so much for dakota/haley/madison/morgan/conor)
14. no pretentious names
15. girls names must sound good as CEO

    i read somewhere the following "rules": when planning a name, test it three ways:

    • We should have Damien as our next president.
    • Damien, I love you.
    • Can Damien come out and play?
    i think that's not a terrible way to look at it. although damien is not an option :)
