i just ran into someone from college and for some reason, decided to start a rumor about myself for kicks. just to see how long it takes for a tiny college's rumor mill to work 10 years after graduation.

she's the good friend of one of the women i was roommates with in my senior year. i would link to it but my g-d i have been writing for a long time and i can't find the posts. suffice to say, i had bad roommates. i ran into one of them again and she apologized. the apology incident was sometime around december 2000 if you really want to look it up.

ANYWAY.

i ran into this other woman. and she noticed the little monkey in me and asked when i was due. and i said.

"early july. it was conceived in ireland when david and i were visiting my ex-boyfriend. i sure hope it doesn't come out looking irish..."

and then laughed.

and she looked at me with a curious look on her face...like just maybe it was true. i bet if i were able to go to the reunion, i would hear that i couldn't make it because i was pregnant and didn't know who the father is. i would bet big money on it.

too bad i can't go. i am sending spies though ;)
