our day is like this:

wake at 6. feed m* one breast, change her, feed other breast.

fall back asleep.

wake at 9. look at the trees with maggie. we have a sky light that

she enjoys - you can see trees and sky, she can see light shifting.

we like to stare out the window for a half hour. then i feed her

again. then we fall back asleep.

wake at 11. sponge bath. maybe change of clothes. maybe a little TLC

tv watching... bring her to the front house for grandma and grandpa

time.

she stays awake usually then until 1 or 2. then we feed again. then

she sleeps.

wake at 4 or 5. happy hour commences. i have a guinness, mom sets out

food. we all stare at m*.

we try and keep her up til at least 7 or 8. then we have dinner while

she sleeps.

we wake her for food around 10 or 11 when d* and i come back to

our own house for the night. we play with her or just gently rock her

to sleep around midnight.

then it starts all over with a 3 AM feeding.

unless, of course, her grandmother gives her a cold which keeps her

up screaming from 11:00 to 3:00 AM because she can't breathe and eat

at the same time and she can't get a full belly at one feeding. then

mommy goes crazy and cries in the middle of the night because she

figures her milk is bad or she is a bad mommy or somehow is failing

this child who is screaming like she's being tortured.

then it works out a bit differently ;)
